Use it to turn the engine (definitely with the spark plugs out) pulling so that force is applied in a clock-wise direction (tightening the nut) until it is nearly turned too far to access it. If Polaris flywheels can be pulled with that type of puller and it won't come off with some massaging with a hammer then get it good and tight then let it set overnight. Repeat until it finally breaks loose, if Polaris has a specific puller like Honda and Yamaha then quit being cheap and go buy one.
